Don't Hold Back

Don’t hold back; cry out to Him.

Hebrews 5:7-10

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

The writer of Hebrews points out that Jesus cried out to God a lot while He was on earth. He cried out with prayers and tears to His Father as He went through the life He was to live while He was here.

I think we can all relate to crying out to God with tear-streaked cheeks as we fight through a battle that we don’t understand. But just as Jesus did, I believe we learn from these struggles we go through; we get better by going through the worst.

Don’t hold back; cry out to Him.
