Do You Want to Quit Everything?

Description

To get through these storms and deserts of life, you need a faith that’s tested, tried and proven -- which comes from a heart-level understanding of the Word of God.

Sometimes situations come into our lives that seem too frightening or just insurmountable.

For many “A Miracle Every Day” readers, when faced with difficulties, fear surfaces, often accompanied by difficulty trusting God.

Here are a few thoughts that readers have shared:

  • “Giving God the reins to my life, trusting Him and stopping my worrying when I’m facing hardships, is difficult.”
  • I find it very difficult to stay in peace and trust when I go through hard times like unemployment or singleness.”

When these situations arise, what do we do? Faced with challenges like these, we may want to flee or simply just stop going forward, stop hoping. But the good news (and yes, there is good news!) is that Jesus promised to never leave us. He is always with us, every single second of every single day.

And Jesus, Who is the Word made flesh, will counsel and support you! By reading the Bible, you saturate yourself with verses that will develop, feed, and bolster your faith. Turn your eyes away from doubt and fear, and open your heart to His Word to receive the faith you need.

To get through these storms and deserts of life, you need a faith that’s tested, tried, and proven. And this kind of faith grows as you listen to the Word of God, as the Bible says in Romans 10:17: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

So, faith and knowledge of the Word of God are inseparable. Read and reread the Bible. Incorporate it into your daily routine. Reading the Word of God and praying are as necessary as sleeping and breathing! May God fortify your faith and your heart every day!
