When we care about something or someone, we do something about it!
Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” John 21:15
When we care about our weight, we go on a diet.
When we care about our shape, we begin an exercise program.
When we care about national policy, we vote.
In other words, when we care about something or someone, we do something about it! After Jesus asked Peter three times if he loved Him, He then said, “Feed my lambs…. Feed my sheep” (John 21:15 – 17).
What does it mean to “feed” Jesus’ lambs? Lambs are little sheep … children. We “feed” His children by teaching them the simple stories and truth of God’s Word.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Luke 18:16). We hinder children from coming to Jesus by not giving them God’s Word. Do you truly love Jesus? Do you care about Him? If you do, then start feeding His lambs today!
