Do Not Be Afraid

Description

Bring everything - yes everything! – that may be causing you even the slightest concern to God in prayer.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus  Phil 4:4-7.

THINK

Throughout His ministry, Jesus often said to his followers, “Do not be afraid.” If we are anxious about even the tiniest thing, it is hard to experience the joy and peace which God intends for us to experience through faith in him.

No matter what situation you are facing, don’t be anxious about it. Instead, look for something in that situation to be thankful for. Then, go to God with confidence and appreciation for all that He is doing as He produces the joy in your life He wants you to experience.

PRAY

Bring everything—yes everything!—that may be causing you even the slightest concern to God in prayer. God is ready to listen and to offer in return something that has to be experienced to be believed: His peace, which wraps our hearts and minds in His protection.

ACT

Do you start you day by praising God and asking for His guidance for the day? Make a decision to spend time daily thanking God and then bringing every situation to Him.
