Detours

Description
Traffic was horrible, and my GPS didn’t have any good suggestions for a short cut.
I was so frustrated. I knew I was going to be late, and I had done everything I could to make sure I’d be on time.
My friend Michelle was in town for just the night, and we’d made plans to have pizza and hang out together. Now I was facing traffic at every turn. Finally, I decided to take a detour and go down a route I had never been before. I was a little bit hesitant because it was unfamiliar. But as I got closer to the city, I started to see beautiful things I’d never seen before. There were parks, fun restaurants with sidewalk cafes, and this funky art museum I had never heard of.
You know sometimes detours and delays are often the best routes to get us to God’s destination, if we are willing to go in a new direction.
