Deepika’s Smile

In rural India, Deepika’s mother used to struggle to provide for the 3-year-old and her older sister, Pallavi, age 6.

Everything changed when World Vision gave the family a cow.

Not only is there delicious milk to drink, but with milk to sell, Deepika’s father doesn’t have to work in other people’s fields. There’s also cow dung for fuel, and to sell.

Premalatha, Deepika’s mother, now has money for groceries and to invest in a women’s savings group. She even took a loan to build a shed for the cow.

Sponsorship has changed Deepika’s life for the better.  As she grows, so will the benefits of sponsorship in her community, including health care, education, and economic development,
