Choosing Team Members

Description

Choosing team members is a spiritual matter. In selecting them, we take on the responsibility to invest in their development.

One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles (Luke 6:12-13).

Jesus took the task of choosing His team members very seriously. He spent extended time talking with the Father before taking the step of naming the twelve who would be his protégés.

As leaders, we need to consider well those with whom we link our lives and leadership. Choosing team members is a spiritual matter. In selecting them, we take on the responsibility to invest in their development. Who has God entrusted to your care and leadership? Are they teachable? What potential exists within them? How are you praying for them?
