Choosing a God-Path

Don’t willingly choose to sin and think you’ll repent when you’re in the mood. That's dangerous.

Romans 6:1-2 (NIV®)

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

I’m an advocate for the grace of God. I have needed it. I have experienced failure, publicly. I know what it is to be desperate and find the grace of God. I am very grateful for that, and I promised the Lord I would give my life to extending His grace to other people. Don’t take His grace for granted, however. Don’t willingly choose to sin and think you’ll repent when you’re in the mood. That is a very dangerous choice to make because sin always destroys. When God placed our sin on Jesus, it destroyed Him. Christians are not perfect people, and we all struggle with temptation. We all battle sin’s encroachment in our lives. There is a difference between that and choosing to sin. Life is made up of one choice after another. Choose godliness … one choice at a time.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the grace You have extended to me time and time again. Give me the wisdom, discernment, and compassion to extend grace in Your name to others, that lives may be renewed and restored and Your Kingdom extended. In Jesus’ name, amen.
