Instead of throwing away scraps from his furniture making, Sung A Pha’s dad and other furniture builders use them, as well as used household items, to make creative and beautiful toys for kindergarteners in Vietnam.

“My friends and I don’t have fancy toys but we love driving this wooden motorbike made by my father,” says Sung A Pha from Vietnam.

Such handmade playthings as see-saws, swings and toy motorbikes are bringing great joy to local children in Lang Chanh and Tua Chua provinces who live in poverty and always lack entertainment. Parents show their love and creativity with putting used tires, planks, and local bamboo to use for their children’s joy.
