After Sanima, a child in Bangladesh, was abandoned by her parents, a woman hired her to do household chores and serve as a playmate for her daughter.
Sanima was more lucky than most; her employer noticed that the bright little girl loved learning. She enrolled Sanima in supplementary classes from World Vision. The classes prepare primary school aged children to enter the public school system.
Nearly 130 million children ages 5 to 17 are involved in some form of employment in Asia and the Pacific — more than any other region in the world.
Please pray for the children who must work instead of attending school.
