Celebrate God's Goodness

Description

We need to praise God for His mighty deeds, even if it doesn't have anything to do directly with us.

Isaiah 63:7 (NIV®)

I will tell of the kindnesses of the LORD, the deeds for which he is to be praised, according to all the LORD has done for us.

Sometimes God’s invitations to us are simply to observe how He’s working in other people’s lives and then celebrate and report. If we’re not careful we can miss these opportunities because they may not feel like they have much to do with us. You may be just going about your daily tasks, minding your own business, when God says, “Hey, I’m doing something for your friend over there—why don’t you go celebrate with him?” Your own life may not be completely transformed by what you see, but you should take the opportunity to see God at work and then praise Him for “all the Lord has done for us.”

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for all the ways You bless me and the people around me—the big things we can all see and the small things You invite me to witness. Help me to remember that every good thing comes from You. Give me a heart of love and generosity toward others so that I would be as eager to celebrate when You bless them as I am when You bless me. In the name of Jesus, amen.
