Caretaker Brother

Please pray that children in Thailand are supported to grow and to learn.

When Aung was in fourth grade, his mother left their home in Myanmar to work in Thailand. Aung dropped out of school to work as a mason, supporting his siblings and ailing grandmother on about $3.20 per day.

For years, Aung, now 15, worked nearly 12 hours a day to earn $3.20 to support his grandmother and four siblings. When World Vision staff heard their story, they ensured the younger children were able to attend a local school and equipped their mother to return home from abroad and start a flower-selling business. Aung, now 15, is better off, but many other children still slip through the cracks.

Pray that children are supported to grow and learn.

“Lord, You are mighty and all-powerful. Comfort the hearts of children whose parents have left to find work, and lead those parents to job-training programs that will help them return home to provide for their children.
