Villagers constructed the canal and manage the water. World Vision provided funding for the project.
The canal brings enough water to make a significant increase in the rice yield. More than 120 families including 180 children benefited from the work.
The construction project was an idea initiated by the community. They submitted it to World Vision in competition with plans from other communities.
