Bus to the Future

Children line up to ride the bus to a Child-Friendly Space for Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

“The future is very important to us, the future for these children,” says Huda, a teacher at a World Vision-sponsored chidlren’s center in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. Huda is a Syrian refugee as well.

“If we create a peaceful place for children, we’ve done what we can do,” she says.

The Child-Friendly Space is where the children can feel their freedom, a safe place for them to experience feelings and memories.

“Sometimes they [children] tell us on Friday ‘we don’t want to take a holiday Saturday and Sunday. We want to come here to the CFS,’” says Huda.
