Build Memorials

What memorials have you built in your life to help you remember the past?

From right here, the middle of the Jordan where the feet of the priests are standing firm, take twelve stones. Carry them across with you and set them down in the place where you camp tonight (Joshua 4:2-3).

  • Reminders: Memorials are important. Some are widely known, while others are more personal. No matter what the memorials are, they serve as reminders that point us to important events, places, and even people in our lives.
  • Perspective: When we build memorials, we gain perspective on what has happened in the past. Not only that, we also establish a great foundation for the future. What memorials have you built in your life to help you remember the past? How do they help propel you into tomorrow?

Focus on what God has brought you through and what He has done in your past. Pray for wisdom and discernment so those memories can help propel you into the future.

One way to build a memorial is to write down in a journal what God has done for you each day. Over time, you’ll see a strong foundation of God’s hand that helps you get the most out of every day ahead!
