Blood Bought Beloved
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace. (Ephesians 1:6-7 ESV)
How precious are we! So many of us have been fed lies . . . having been told that we are ugly, stupid, or unwanted. Those words are pure rubbish!
We’re not perfect. We’ve all made mistakes and sinned. In fact, we were born into sin, Adam and Eve made sure of that. But, when we accept Christ as our Lord and personal Savior, He makes all things new.
No longer rejected, but accepted.
No longer sin stained, but redeemed.
No longer poor in spirit, but rich in grace.
Our enemy wants us to continue to hide under rocks; to believe that we are throwaways and not worthy of anything good. Why would Satan try so hard to keep us down? Because, he knows that once we understand who we are in Christ, we are empowered to tear up the town. To run an amazing race with effectiveness . . . bringing down strongholds not only in our own lives, but in others. He fears us living in the light of this truth, so he does everything in his power to keep us tied up and believing the lies spoken into our lives.
Remember his scheme the next time someone tells you that you are anything but a priceless treasure. Don’t listen to false messages. Boldly live your life in the knowledge that you are bought with the blood of God’s only Begotten Son and you are loved . . . fiercely.
