Do you have days where you struggle to feel blessed? Walk by faith instead of feelings and let God fill you with joy.

I have to admit that often I do not feel blessed. It is really sort of ridiculous because just temporally speaking I have so much!  A loving husband, three precious kiddos, a warm and comfortable place to live, plenty of food and clothing, wonderful friends and family, the list could go on and on. But often my day to day circumstances do not scream out “BLESSED” to me, and I feel tired, worn down, pressured from within and without, etc. I allow my feelings to dictate my beliefs and I live defeated and not victorious.

O that we would really be able to take to heart these amazing truths from Ephesians:

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us the Beloved. (Eph. 1:3-5)

May we walk by faith and not feelings and walk out our days as those who are truly blessed, full of the joy of the Holy Spirit!
