Big Strides for Children

Description

Education helps children walk away from poverty.

Children in Koligram, Bangladesh, don’t have to walk alone. The village is making strides toward building a thriving community, thanks in part to child sponsorship. Many Koligram parents are not educated, but they choose to send their children to school—and the community’s rising education rates reflect that commitment. After school, the children head to the village game corner, which World Vision stocks with board games and other toys for all children in the community to enjoy. And when homework or chores call them back home, they walk—together.
