Becoming Stronger

Description

God is ready to be your shield, your protector, your Savior. Seek Him with all your heart and allow Him to be the source of your wisdom and strength.

Proverbs 24:5

A wise man has great power, and a man of knowledge increases strength.

This world can drag us all down. It appears that people are becoming increasingly more mean-spirited and full of rage. Think of an everyday experience, like driving in traffic: if you make a wrong move or change lanes too quickly, the other drivers become infuriated with you. Now, more than ever before, we need strength to cope during these times. We need strength to get through the hard times and strength to push through dealing with people who are unkind and rude.

A mom’s life is no different. A mom needs strength to deal with all the drama of the younger generation. The pressures that our children face today, make even the strongest person cringe in fear. But, we do not need to be fearful— we need to be wise and strong in the Lord God Almighty. He is the source of our strength. Jesus knows and understands the cruel people of today's world. Without a doubt, Jesus was abused, mistreated and mocked, but he withstood and was strong, even unto death. How? Jesus found His strength in God. The night that He was taken Jesus was drawing near to God in prayer, asking for God’s strength to get Him through what was to come.  (Matthew 26:36-45)

God is ready to be your shield, your protector, your Savior. Reach out to Him when you are weak, when you are wondering what to do and where to go.  Seek Him with all your heart and allow Him to be the source of your wisdom and strength.

Prayer

Father, So many times, as a mom, I have no idea what to do.  I do not feel strong at all- I feel weak and helpless.  This world seems to be spinning out of control and I fear that my child will be the victim.  God, I look to You to give me wisdom and strength.  I realize that I cannot do this life on my own...so God, I need You more than ever.  Give me what I need for today to parent out of wisdom and strength.
