Become a Source of Encouragement

“But no one can tame the tongue. It is restless and evil, full of deadly poison. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water?” (the Bible, James 3:8-11, NLT)

You have been created in the image of God. Fashioned for His glory so that your life makes a difference in the Earth ... how? By you speaking like God speaks.

No matter your work, family situation, the way others see you ... you are created in the image of the living God. Your life is a testimony of His grace and His love.

Today, take up the challenge to speak as God speaks. Refuse to participate in slander or bad-mouthing. May criticism not be found in your mouth. May the door of your heart be locked to it. Bad-mouthing is “persona non grata” (not welcome) in you.

You are set apart ... for God. Your mouth is set apart for Him. He is so marvelous ... praise Him, worship and adore Him, love Him by loving others, by blessing them and using your mouth as an instrument of powerful encouragement!
