Because He Said So

00:00

Description

Sometimes we need to work on obeying God not because we understand, but because He said so.

Sometimes I get frustrated when my kids ask why I told them to do something. The easiest thing to tell them is: “Because I said so!”

How many times have you caught yourself telling your kids, “Because I said so”?

The irony is when I know that God needs to say the same thing to me. Just the other day, I felt resistant to a hard decision I sensed God challenging me to make. I wanted to know why He wanted me to do it, and when and how it would all work out before I took the next step.

Immediately I sensed God saying, “Because I said so, Renee, trust me.” He reminded me that faith means obeying Him even when all my questions aren’t answered.

I don’t know about you, but I need to work on obeying God not because I understand, but because He said so.
