Be Humble

Description

Did you “earn” your looks, your size, or your intelligence? Having humility means we accept our unique differences without feeling superior to others.

“[If] my people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Even though Christ is the most exalted being in the eternal kingdom of God, He assumed the lowliest, most humbling position possible during His lifetime.

God wants us to question the condition of our hearts. Do we really consider ourselves higher than someone else, simply because we may have special talents that give us the ability to earn more money or have more advantages? Did you “earn” your looks or your size or your intelligence?

Having humility means we can accept our unique differences without feeling superior to any other individual. It is more than just an attitude, though. It is living a life of servanthood.
