Listen to Paul and set an example for other believers. There are so many ways in which to do this, no matter how young you are.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12 NIV
That is one of my favorite verses. I love how it tells you that you can still tell the world about Jesus, no matter how young you are. So no matter what age you are you still need to witness to others. Here are some good ways to spread the good news of Jesus Christ: You can invite a friend to VBS or to church. You can help with church activities. You can have a devotional time with your little brother or sister, or kids in your neighborhood. And most importantly, you can pray. Ask God to allow you to help that person understand about Jesus. And trust me, He will!
Let’s see what Paul meant when he wrote this letter on how to act. He said to set an example to other believers in several ways:
1) In Speech (the way we speak to each other)
2) In Conduct (the way that we act)
3) In Love (the way that we care for each other)
4) In Faith (the way that we believe that God is who says He is in the Bible and will do what He promises), and
5) In Purity (to keep our heart, and our mind with good, pure thoughts)
But, if you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it will be hard for you to be able to live that way and do the things that I just talked about. First, you need to ask Him to forgive you of your sins, ask him to save you so He can help you live that way.
If you would like to accept Jesus into your heart you can ask a Christian adult to help you by answering any questions that you might have. You can also say this prayer: Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, please forgive me of all my sins, and come into my heart , so that whenever I die, I will go to heaven and live with you forever and ever, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
