Description

The wonderful thing for us is that we bring pleasure to God. First by our existence, second by our redemption, and lastly by our worship and appreciation.

The universe and all that is in it has been created for the pleasure of God. This is what is boldly proclaimed by those who worship God in heaven.

9 And when the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, to Him who lives forever and ever,

10 the twenty-four elders will fall down before Him who sits on the throne, and will worship Him who lives forever and ever, and will cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11 "Worthy are you, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for you created all things, and because of your pleasure they existed, and were created." (Rev 4:9-11)

The wonderful thing for us is that we bring pleasure to God. First by our existence, second by our redemption, and lastly by our worship and appreciation. Just as in a deep friendship, friends love to say good things about each other, so Christians have the privilege of saying good things about God and doing things for God that give him pleasure. These five sacrifices which we keep mentioning are how pleasure is brought to God. The list is quite specific and every one of them describes what God calls an act of worship or priestly service to him. What a thrill to actually be able to touch the heart of God.
