Armed and Dangerous

Enforce Satan's defeat, and fulfill your purpose and God's will for your life by knowing and speaking the Word.

"The tempter came to him and said … Jesus answered, 'It is written…'" Matthew 4:24, NIV

This means war! We have an enemy—Satan, the devil or Lucifer—and he still wages a 'war of words' against believers. Satan has one goal: to steal, kill and destroy. He wants to steal the will of God from you! He is the adversary of every follower of Jesus Christ, and the weapons he uses are words.
Satan came to steal the very purpose for which Jesus was on earth and he used some pretty flattering, tempting and spiritual sounding words…
The tempter came to Him and said, "If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" Then the devil took Him to the holy city and had Him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If You are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: 'He will command His angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'" Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'" Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.'" Then the devil left Him, and angels came and attended Him.” (Matthew 4:3-11, NIV)
Notice, when Jesus faced Satan down in the wilderness, He didn't even flinch. He won the war of words, by using words! Jesus quoted the Word of God every time Satan came against Him with words.
It’s no different today—the Christian life is called a "fight of faith." Like Jesus, we must not flinch, but we must stand strong in the words we know and say—the Word of God! In order to use words effectively, we must know the Word! If we are students of the Word and we spend time filling our heart with the knowledge of the "it is writtens"—we won't be an easy target and we'll have the weapons we need to stand strong in experiencing God’s will.
Are you facing a battle? Is the enemy trying to steal, kill or destroy your destiny? Your future? Your marriage? Your health? Your kids? Your sanity? Your job? Your life? It's your job to enforce the enemy’s defeat with words—the Word of God. Pick up your weapons. Stir up the fight on the inside of you. Remind yourself of what you know and put God's Word into practice. Remember this…
The enemy doesn't have any weapons; he's been disarmed! Don't flinch! "In this way, God disarmed the evil rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the cross of Christ." (Colossians 2:15, NLT)
The devil's all talk; his only weapon is words. He roars with arguments, reasonings, theories, lies and deception to coax you into completely missing God's will! Resist him and don’t fall for his smoke and mirrors or buy into anything contrary to the truth. The Bible says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith…." (1 Peter 5:8-9, NKJV)
You are armed and dangerous! You've been armed with the Name of Jesus and the Word of God. Enforce Satan's defeat and fulfill your purpose and God's will for your life by knowing and speaking the Word. Go on the offensive and take hold of God's plan for your life by resisting every temptation, thought, reasoning, theory, argument, negative report, flattery or circumstance contrary to God's will. "For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed one)…." (2 Corinthians 10:4-5, AMP)
When the devil throws a lie or temptation or detour your way, shut him up and stay on track with God's plans and purposes by saying, "It is written…."

Say This: "Father, I praise You that Jesus completely defeated Satan. My job is to enforce the devil's defeat in my life. I realize it's a war of words. I choose to resist the enemy's lies, deception and thoughts by putting Your Words in my mind, heart and mouth. You have disarmed the devil and You have armed me with every weapon I need for complete victory. Today, I declare that I am armed and dangerous and I will follow and fulfill the will of God in every area of my life. You cause me to triumph in Christ and You always lead me in victory as I say and obey, the 'it is written.' In Jesus' Name. Amen."
