Are You Willing?

Description

Ask God to place you where He wants you to be and use you how He decides is best. Then serve Him faithfully — willingly!

The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?” Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. ACTS 8:34 – 35

Philip was willing! These words describe that most amazing man.

Acts 8 describes how the Spirit of the Lord took Philip from a revival where hundreds were coming to Christ to a desert road to meet with one man, an Ethiopian eunuch who desired to know the Scripture. A man to whom Philip brought the good news of Jesus. They traveled along the road together, and when they came to some water, Philip baptized the man right then and there.

Philip was willing to be a deacon, an evangelist; he was willing to serve in Jerusalem, in Samaria, to lead big meetings. And then he was willing to go and meet with just one man.

Ultimately Philip was willing to die for his faith, crucified in a similar way to Jesus. Philip was willing to be faithful wherever God placed him, however God wanted to use him.

Ask God to place you where He wants you to be and use you how He decides is best. Then serve Him faithfully — willingly!
