2 Corinthians 5:20 (NIV®)
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.
The best way to understand your life and mine is in the context of a Kingdom assignment. God has something for us to do. People say to me, “Pastor, if I just knew what it was.” I’ll suggest that you begin with this notion of being an ambassador for the Kingdom of God, an advocate for Jesus of Nazareth. We’ve chosen Him as Lord, serve Him as King, and advocate for Him as the Messiah. And wherever God gives you influence, wherever people trust you, respect you, listen to you, He asks you to be an ambassador on His behalf. Not to be quiet about Him, lest you offend. Not to withdraw your advocacy for Him if someone might not want to hear it. He asks you to be an unrelenting, unyielding ambassador—an advocate—for Jesus of Nazareth. It is the highest privilege of our lives.
Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of being Your ambassador in the earth. Thank You for the invitation to invest my strength and resources in pursuit of Your agenda in my generation. May my life bring glory to Jesus as Messiah and Lord. In His name, which is above all names, amen.
