An Attitude of Gratitude
Hebrews 13:15 (NIV®)
Let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name.
When we give thanks to God, we unleash the power of God to work on our behalf. Even Jesus showed gratitude toward His Father. Before He called Lazarus out of the tomb, He stopped to thank His Father for hearing His prayer. I would encourage you to guard your heart against ingratitude and become a person of thanksgiving. When you are more focused on being thankful for what you do have instead of harboring resentment about what you don’t have, you will change the trajectory of your life.
Heavenly Father, I will give thanks to You with the breath and the strength I have. You have delivered me from darkness and brought me into the Kingdom of Your Son. You have given life to me and blessed me beyond my imaginings. I entrust myself to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
