All That I Do

My purpose as a mom is to glorify God in all that I do.

Colossians 3:17

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Whatever I do as a mom, whether it is tucking my child into bed at night or implementing discipline, I need to do it unto the Lord, giving my best. My purpose as a mom needs to be to glorify God in all that I do with my words and my actions.

Giving God my best means that I have a good attitude and a loving spirit. At the end of the day, I realize that my job is to glorify God in all that I do. Those words sounds simple, but in the world of motherhood, it is a constant struggle to keep a positive attitude and to have a loving spirit.

I need to remember to thank God daily for the blessings in my life and for the honor of being a mom.

God, please bring this verse to my memory throughout my day. Fill me up with your Spirit, your love, and your grace. I pray that I will always be mindful that being a mom has eternal value. Give me eyes to see from your perspective. Amen.
