All of You!
Matthew 6:1-4 "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
What if your life was on television; a real live YOU reality show. Think of all of the good things that the viewers would see you do. Think of the witty dialogues they would hear and the incredibly awesome person they would see. It would surely be a hit because it would be all about you.
I think of people seeing all of me and I am so glad that they don’t. I’m glad that they see me through a lens that I try and keep tightly focused on the me I want to present, not the me that wakes up with breath like a goat and hair like Jack Nicholson.
God sees all of you, all of me, and the amazing thing is He loves us anyway.
