All about ME
I will ascend to the heavens; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights... (Isaiah 14:13).
Technology has created a world that can send and receive information at a pace like never before. With the advancements of the smart phone, we can know anything about anyone we want to... or don’t want to. Even when we take trips to great locations everyone else can join us virtually. But what kind of trips are we really taking?
There is a love/hate relationship with technology. We have the ability to post pictures, thoughts and comments at will. But before we know it, we could take off on an ego trip traveling to the resort of “ME, ME, ME.” While technology is not a bad thing, it has the ability to accentuate the precursor to all sin—PRIDE. But we can stop the narcissistic journey we may have begun. Before posting that next picture or making your next comment, examine what your true motivation is. Are you promoting ME, ME, ME or a truly humble nature that thinks of others more than ME? Check your motivation.
Ask God to search your heart for the true motivation of your technology activities. Ask Him to reveal what changes you might need to make.
