Accepted and Highly Favored
Ephesians 1:6 (NKJV®)
To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
Do you know that God has accepted you? The Bible says He has chosen us. When God created you, He said, “That’s good.” He didn’t look at you and say, “Oops. Do over.” God has accepted you, chosen you, and commissioned you as His ambassador. There is an epidemic of rejection in our nation, however, and it has many expressions—racism, unemployment, divorce, abortion, abuse, neglect—the list could go on. Rejection may be the defining characteristic of our nation these days, and we need to know the power of God’s acceptance. On the cross, and in that empty tomb, God expressed for time and all eternity his acceptance of you and me.
Heavenly Father, I thank You that I am accepted in the Beloved. I believe that Your Word is true and that you accept me. I forgive all who have rejected me. I choose to lay down any bitterness, anger, or resentment that rejection has produced in my life. I thank You that I am highly favored and the object of Your special care. Lord, I accept myself. I am Your workmanship, and I believe You have begun a good work in me and will finish what You have started. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
