Maybe the person who’s watching is someone you have talked to about Jesus, and now God is giving you the opportunity to show the difference Jesus can make in everyday life. Be a showcase for God’s glory!
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body—2 CORINTHIANS 4:7–10
Someone is watching you.
What a sobering thought! Who is watching the way you handle your problems and disputes? Your mate? A child? A co-worker? An employee? A roommate? Often it’s someone you don’t even know is watching.
One reason God allows us to have problems is so we can demonstrate to a watching world how His children respond to difficulties. First Peter 1:7 says, “These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor” to God.
Maybe the person who’s watching is someone you have talked to about Jesus, and now God is giving you the opportunity to show the difference Jesus can make in everyday life. When that person looks at you, what will he or she see?
Be a showcase for God’s glory!
