A Sacrifice Is Never on Sale

Christ paid the full price for us because He loves us with an unconditional love—a love we cannot comprehend and a price could never pay ourselves.

My friend Karen loves to bargain shop and look for the best deals!

The other day Karen told me that sometimes she will buy something just because it’s on sale, not because she loves it or even needs it!  She said her husband always tells her, “Sometimes you need to buy something you love because you love it. It is okay to treat yourself to something you really want.”

I loved his perspective, and she did too. It also made her think about the price Christ paid for her. How He didn’t look for a discount in His sacrifice. He paid the full price for her because He loves her with an unconditional love, a love she cannot comprehend. He paid a price we could never pay ourselves.
