A Promised Reward
Our children were expected to do their share of housework. But when we asked them to do even more, we’d add a little motivation with a cash reward! It was amazing to see the difference the promised reward made — in their attitude and in the quality of their work. They were much more pleasant and much more conscientious!
The same is true in your Christian life. The promise of a reward adds eagerness and energy. As a result our attitudes go from “I have to do this” to “I want to do this.”
Let the reward of God’s pleasure motivate you. Let the reward of a crown to lay at His feet give you energy to serve Him with joy.
