A Praying Wife

00:00

Description

It's important for wives to pray for their husbands. Renee Swope shares her story.

What all does God want me to pray for my husband?

In her book, The Power of a Praying Wife, Stormie O’Martian shares that when she and her husband were first married, and big differences arose between them, praying was not her first thought. In fact, it was more like a last resort.

Instead, she tried other methods like arguing, ignoring, confronting, or even the silent treatment; but none of them worked. So she would finally pray, but then her heart was motivated by anger and un-forgiveness.

Gosh, I could relate. Sometimes I don’t pray for my husband unless something is wrong, and I start asking God to change him into the person I want JJ to be.

God’s been showing me that I need to pray for more than just problems. I need to cover my husband from head to toe. I need to pray for his heart and his decisions. But, more than anything, I need to pray for my heart to change and ask God to work on me, too.
