A Powerful Force
John 8:32 (NIV®)
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
The truth is a powerful force in our lives. We have to make a conscious decision to become people of truth as we interact with one another. There will be times it will seem to put us at a disadvantage, but it’s worth it. Because if we own the truth, we gain a freedom that comes from Almighty God. And when you and I begin to esteem the truth—to give it value and make it a significant objective in our lives—God will make His truth known to us, and that opens an entirely new set of possibilities for our lives. Some of us need to repent and say to the Lord, “I’m sorry. I’ve been a deceiver and a manipulator. Forgive me.” If you will repent and begin to practice truthfulness, God’s truth will bring freedom to you.
Heavenly Father, You are truth, Your Word is truth, and You desire that Your children walk in the truth. Give me boldness to speak Your truth so that people will hear of Your salvation. Season my words with Your grace so that I might draw people to You. Open doors of hope and renewal and restoration so that people will experience wholeness as never before. I ask these things in the name of Jesus, amen.
