A Posture of Pride

When it comes to your relationship with Him, don’t stand with pride in your heart.

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. Proverbs 11:2

We all have stumbling blocks that keep us from experiencing God’s best for our lives. Sometimes, in spite of being in the right place at the right time and asking the right questions, we have the wrong posture—a posture of pride.

God wants to remove the barriers in your life that keep you from your full potential in Him. So when it comes to your relationship with Him, don’t stand with pride in your heart, thinking you can do everything on your own. Instead, remain humble in light of who He is, what He has done, and what He can do.

Admit to God when you have a posture of pride. Ask Him for forgiveness. And pray that He helps you to remain humble so that you can discover just what He has for you.

Rather than trying to do life on your own, admit that you need God and humble yourself before Him.  If you need wisdom, ask Him.  If you need an answer, seek Him. But don’t just do it once. Do it each day by reading His Word to you.
