A Hug for Mom

Pedro, 11, shows his gratitude to his mother, Irma. “She deserves all my heart,” he says.

Four years ago, Pedro’s father died. Since then “my mother has been a mother and father to me,” says Pedro, a World Vision sponsored child in El Salvador.

He wants to make her proud of him. “I am getting ahead (in school), and I am a good child,” he says.

While he doesn’t have the means to buy her gifts, “I would give her all my love, my feelings,” he says.
