A Harvest of Righteousness
Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 2 CORINTHIANS 9:10
When it comes to misery and weariness, we have a choice in how we handle it. Paul told the Galatian church in Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
One way to overcome misery and weariness is to keep your focus on the big picture. As hard as your life is, as challenging as your problems and pressure may be, don’t give up. Don’t quit. Your effort to live for Jesus and to serve Jesus are like long-term investments. You may not reap the benefits now, but you will in time.
What harvest of blessing and fruit and glory will you reap later because you choose now not to give in to your weariness? Keep looking up, as you keep on keeping on …
