A Crazy Faith

Description

Will you face a world that is going crazy with the weaponry of praise? Will you face your crazy circumstances with a crazy faith?

We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. -2 Corinthians 4:8-9

Is your faith unstable? Is your faith rocky? Your faith requires rock bottom to find the Rock again. Hand God your mess and God will give you the power to move forward. As you go through adversity, remember the consistency of God’s faithfulness. Meditate on the lovingkindness of God. Confuse the enemy by praising God in the middle of the mess. Chains will drop as you lift your hands. Although you may not rejoice in where you are, thank God for who He is.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. – 2 Corinthians 4:18

The essence of faith is praising God for the unseen and praising God in advance before you know the outcome. Anyone can praise God when they have all the answers. Authentic faith is accepting that life is far from a multiple- choice test. Life is more like a fill-in-the-blank quiz. When your heart is stuck on empty, fill in the blank with promises from God.

Examples: “God is my refuge. God is my comforter. God is my hope. God is my joy. God is my strength. God is my deliverer!”

As you surrender problems, accept God’s promises. Your challenge is a great opportunity for God to give you crazy faith. Crazy faith is trusting God when you have no evidence of your breakthrough. Crazy faith is believing in a God who can feed five thousand people with five loaves of bread. Crazy faith is believing in a God who can part the sea and heal a blind man. Crazy faith is believing in a God who can overcome death and the grave.

Ask God for crazy faith. You won’t always get the answers you hope for or the outcome that makes the most sense to you. Give God praise regardless of the facts. Why? Praise is a powerful weapon against the enemy. Praise is like a wave that lifts your spirit and puts you on your feet again.

Grieve your losses. After the stages of grief pass you by, I dare you to praise.

Through the praise, your pain is valid and God wants to comfort you. When life is good, I dare you to sing. When life is bad, I dare you to dance. Imagine what God can do and praise Him for the victory before it arrives. Thank Him for your blessing before you receive it. Thank Him for the accomplishment before you achieve it. Thank Him for the deliverance before you overcome the situation.

Imagine yourself on the other side of the adversity…

Imagine yourself as strong, healthy, and courageous, and thank Him for the person you see yourself becoming.

Thank Him for your warrior spirit and a faith that can move mountains with a single seed. After all, hitting rock bottom is the perfect place to move mountains. The bottom is the ideal position to look up. Look up at His faithfulness. Look up at His power.

Will you face a world that is going crazy with the weaponry of praise? Will you face your crazy circumstance with a crazy faith?

Live with a crazy faith that makes people question your joy! Live with a crazy faith that praises God for who He is and celebrates how far you’ve come.
