5 Ways to Slim Down
for Your Wedding

Everyone wants to look their absolute best on their wedding day, and rightly so! You deserve it. Is there a way to look stellar without breaking the bank at the gym and spa? With some creativity, it’s possible to slim down for your wedding and keep your budget in shape for the big day!

The summer is a great time to get in shape: The weather’s great and there’s usually more leisure time. Take advantage of this and get on the path to looking and feeling great.

Here are 5 free exercise ideas that will help you slim down for your wedding:

1. Run, bike, and hike local trails.

Check out a state park near you and find local trails that you can run, bike or hike. Trail running is an effective exercise, as it works your body harder than running on pavement does. Aside from getting fit, being active in nature will also energize and refresh you.

2.Take a dip!

Jump in the pool, lake, or ocean to get a tan and a workout. If you don’t have access to a free pool, skip the pricey membership and move outside. Swim laps, tread water, and have fun in the sun.

3. Get your game on.

Play tennis, kickball, softball, basketball… anything you can find! Many local parks have courts available for free. Consider joining an intramural league with your co-workers or friends (we have a kickball team here at brightpeak!)

4. Jump!

Jumping rope is one of the cheapest and most convenient ways to get an intense workout. You can do this in your basement, driveway, or just about anywhere.

5. Walk your neighborhood.

Getting out and about around your neighborhood is a relaxing way to fit some physical activity into your schedule. It’s also an opportunity to walk with friends, exercise pets, and get to know neighbors. Toning up and beautifying for your wedding doesn’t have to be costly. Keep your wedding budget in check, get outside, have fun, and look great while you’re at it.
