Day 16 - Lubit Lish Hristos Bezmerna

Description

Feeling trapped? Find out why there's freedom in the love of Christ.

Reflections

Lubit Lish Hristos Bezmerna” is an old Russian hymn which to me translates “The love of Christ is unconditional.” According to Ruslan, one of the brothers in Everfound, this song was written over 100 years by Christians imprisoned for their faith.

No matter your circumstance, no matter what you are going through, it is the love of Christ, that unconditional love that will sustain you. On the hardest days, when it feels like you are trapped—either literally as was the case for those who wrote these lyrics—or whether you are jailed by guilt, shame, or hurt—turning to the unconditional love of Christ will feel like freedom. His love is deep and wide and able to heal all the broken places.

  • Galatians 5:1
