10 Quick Ideas to Build Faith and Fun In Your Home

Description

Courtney DeFeo shares ways to have fun and build faith with your children.

  1. Buy them a praise CD as their back-to-school treat – one you’ll both love to sing together.
  2. Post notes all over their mirror of their special traits – why God made them so special.
  3. Pick out a verse for each kid for the school year – write on a ruler and stick in their backpack. Tell them mommy is praying all year.
  4. Make a key chain together for their backpack that reminds them God loves them and their parents love them.
  5. Practice cheering on each member of the family. True support is hard when jealousy creeps in. Have the little one hand the big one the card or create it or make up their bed.
  6. Ask DAD to be the one to write the love notes for the lunch boxes – cut him 100 squares and he can even get ahead of the game now. His affirmation is 100x.
  7. Pray together as a family – how can we impact our school or another family this year? Open our eyes and hearts.
  8. When (not if) we mess up – help us lead by apologizing first.
  9. Lay on backs in one room of the house and take turns naming everything you are thankful for (things seen and unseen).
  10. Snuggle, giggle, hug, love, pray, believe and forgive.
