Switched Quote: “Your talent is too beautiful not to share, it’s a gift trying to erupt out of you.”
Switched Scripture: "God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another." (1 Peter 4:10).
God has equipped you with many gifts. It is very easy to compare your gift or talent with someone else and determine that you aren’t as good as them and therefore should quit. Did you know it takes 10,000 times practicing something to become proficient at it? That's a lot. This scientific finding means that whether you have natural ability or pure will power to get good at something, you can and will improve with consistent practice.
Think about this as you practice and become better at a sport, an instrument, a craft like art, public speaking, etc. The switched scripture today mentions spiritual gifts. Loving, caring, serving, and sharing are some of the spiritual gifts. You can practice sharing and caring just like you practice a sport. As you get better at sharing your spiritual gifts it not only helps you but it serves others.
What is a talent nobody knows you have? If you can’t think of it, ask a friend, your parent or a co-worker? Then make a mental decision to share that gift with one other person as a blessing. We often think the gift needs to be BIG, but it could be as simple as sharing a smile or a kind word.
Switched Prayer: Dear Lord, please give me wisdom to recognize the gifts you have given me. May I use my talent to honor you. Amen
