Resting in Peace
Resting in Peace

By now, you probably realize that this world is full of things that can cause anxiety and worry. Those things won’t change, nor will they go away. The key is to learn how to deal with them through what you know about God and the Bible. When you rely on God to help you carry your burdens, you will have room to feel His peace instead of your worry. Peace is the confidence that God can relieve your pressures, solve your problems, and handle the people in your life. Today, learn how that peace can give you rest from your anxiety and worry.

Rest In Peace - Touching Lives Edit

00:00

Pray

God, I want Your peace. Relieve the pressures of my life. Solve my problems. Handle my life so I can be free of anxiety. I give you all my worries, Father. Thank You for the peace You give me in return.

Reflect

Am I trying to deal with my worries on my own, or do I really believe that God loves me and is powerful enough to handle them?

Respond

Read Philippians 4:6-9, then meditate on how God will guard you from all anxieties and help you find rest and peace.

The Wrap Up

God is bigger than your anxiety. He is bigger than your fear. Trust and believe that He is powerful enough to help you. Even when you can’t see His hand in your circumstance, you can be confident that He is near, working out the details to help you and to glorify Himself. Whether it is about your current circumstance or fear about something in the future, you can cry out to God, and He will be there with grace that is given in exact supply to your need. From today forward, strive to turn your worries into worship, and declare God’s strength to overcome.
