Our lives have demands on us from all sides: our bosses want us to accomplish our work, our families need us to spend more time with them, and our friends want us to do things with them. You might also feel a pull from God to spend time in His Word, or you might feel the call to participate in service projects that further the Kingdom. How do you know what you should spend your time on? If you are looking to balance your work and your life, then you need to learn how to set your priorities so there is more balance in your schedule. In this message, Joyce Meyer shows you how to set priorities so you don’t feel pulled in so many different directions.
"Priorities" by Joyce Meyer
Read
Psalm 90:17
Pray
Jesus, help me set my priorities in a way that honors You and brings better work/life balance.
Reflect
What am I making my top priority?
Respond
Spend some time each week setting your top three priorities. They might change week to week, but you will be sure to do the things that are most important to you when you take the time to decide what they are.
When you have too much on your plate, something will get ignored or lost in the shuffle. Setting priorities regularly is a good way to start finding some balance for your life. Focusing on your top priorities will help you become more productive at work and at home. The question to ask yourself while you’re setting your top priorities is, “Who is in charge of my life, me or God?” Once you discover the answer to that question, you will be able to adjust your priorities accordingly. The next post will help you answer that question.
