The Grace in Salvation

God’s grace is an important element of a Christian’s salvation. Paul wrote in Ephesians that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Sometimes we glaze over the phrase “by grace” and jump to “through faith in Jesus.” Yes, our faith in Jesus is what gives us the relationship with God, but it is God’s grace that allows us to even approach Him in faith. The grace of God is integral to our salvation because it’s what allows for the forgiveness of our sins. This post will encourage you to pursue your relationship with Jesus by grace through faith so you can further understand the enormity of God’s grace.

"Saved by Faith" by Josh McDowell

Read
Ephesians 2:8

Pray
God, let me always see how merciful Your grace is. Let me remember how Your grace makes my salvation possible.

Reflect
Do I rely more on my ability to have faith or on God’s grace for my salvation?

Respond
Remember, God’s grace is a gift, given to you for free, so you can have a relationship with Jesus through faith.

God’s grace enables us to approach God and put our faith in Jesus. It is integral to our salvation experience. But grace doesn’t end at our time of salvation; it’s a gift that God keeps bestowing upon us as we continue in our relationship with Him. The next post will help you understand how we can learn about and experience more of God’s grace through the life of Jesus.
