When you are setting goals, you might be tempted to think small based on your past experiences. For example, if last year you could run three miles, you might think, based on your past performance, that running five miles this year is a good goal. However, when you are setting God-sized goals, you need to let go of the past and trust that God is capable of doing a brand new thing. Maybe God wants you to run more than you ever thought possible. The only way you will know what God wants is to seek His best for you. With that in mind, this message will guide you through four questions to help you create big, God-centered goals for your life.

Isaiah 43:18-19
Jesus, I’m ready to live a big, God-centered life, and I know that it is going to take some big goals. Show me the possibilities, and help me let go of my past, trusting that You are doing a new thing in my life.
Do I hold myself back by holding on to what is in the past?
Work through the four questions from this post, and then use your answers to help you create big, God-centered goals.
It can be kind of scary to have really big goals; they might seem a little daunting. But don’t worry! God is able to do big things, and He will empower you to accomplish what He lays on your heart. You just need to start making plans and taking the steps you need to take to reach your goals. Keep in mind, however, that sometimes your plans might get usurped by something unplanned. You’ll have to learn how to balance working towards your goals and living by faith. The next post will show you how to save room for God to do big things around your goals.
