The writer of Psalm 121 knew he was in need of answers. He wrote these words: "I lift up my eyes to the hills — where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."
In today's lesson, we readily acknowledge that we have a lot of questions in this country that require answers. While we may be tempted to call our questions political, the answers for us — as people with access to the very throne of God Himself — are theological.

Pray
Father, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, in this election, on this earth, just as Thy will is done in Heaven. For Thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. In Jesus' Name.
Reflect
Consider that God used Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus and other secular kings to accomplish His purposes, even though they weren't believers at the time He chose to use them. God's ways are often mysterious and beyond figuring out.
